WELCOME
Pitt Fencing is a club sport team at the University of Pittsburgh. We compete in all three weapons (Learn more) and in gendered and non-gendered events.
We are a proud member of the USA Fencing, South Atlantic Conference (SAC), and United State Association of Collegiate Fencing Clubs (USACFC).
Pitt Fencing has been an active part of the University of Pittsburgh community for the last 14 years, and hope to continue to contribute to this community, and to the greater Pittsburgh community for many more years to come.
We are open to all University of Pittsburgh Undergraduates, Graduates, and Faculty and Staff members.
No experience is required: Necessary equipment is provided, and experienced fencers are happy to help get you started!
Active members may choose to compete at tournaments or fence casually.

Members with good standing are encouraged to tryout for the team going to tournaments. These tryouts will occur 1 month before the tournament.
Each gendered teams (Foil, Epee, Sabre) are composed of 3 starting fencers and (occasionally) 1 substitute fencer.
Like how team tennis is scored, each fencer's victory counts towards a total team victory as well as a separate individual victory used for seeding for individual competitions.
