Become a Member

To be an active member of the Pittsburgh Fencing Association, you should come to practice as often as you are able, participate in fundraisers, and pay dues. Dues can be paid yearly or semesterly and are used to cover club expenses such as coaching, equipment, and travel.

Dues are $55 for the semester or $100 for the year.

Planned Fundraisers

In an effort to reduce the costs of travel and tournament fees to regional/national competitions and of the maintenance of fencing equipment, Pitt Fencing participates in a few fundraiser activities throughout the year. All funds go directly to club activities and operations, which in turn benefit all its members.

Captains

Each weapon have two captains who will teach their respective weapon and run practice. They are chosen by the current board after the first couple of weeks of practice. 
These are not a board position but they are leadership positions.

Officer and Chair Positions

Club board members are elected yearly in the spring. The positions, their responsibilities, and the current members holding these positions are listed below. If you are interested in a board position, please contact the current member so that you can learn the responsibilities expected of that position.

President	In charge of club communications and publicity. Plans out practices and delegates tasks to other board members when appropriate	Current: Oleksii Kucherenko

Business Manager	Handles club budget and financial records	Current: Connor Cosgrove

Inventory Manager	Keeps track of all club equipment and manages the signing out of equipment for events	Current: Joya Scibek
Head Armorer	Builds and repairs electric club equipment including weapons and cords. Trains others to work under them as armorers	Current: Cecilia Rike
Social Media/Events Chair	Responsible for making flyers, instagram posts, takes care of our social media including website	Current: Tanvi Patnaik
